Quebec land registry API

The Quebec land registry API is in service for the index, the deed PDF, and the cadastral plan. Calls use your organisation’s own Registre foncier accounts. Structured parsing is not available yet. The Fonciq datasets, 21 public datasets, are ingested and available in Studio. GET /v1/lots/resolve, GET /v1/lots/{lot}, and POST /v1/watches query the rôles d’évaluation foncière des municipalités du Québec, one of the public datasets integrated into the Fonciq datasets. These calls do not consult the land register. RDPRM : déjà offert dans le Studio, bientôt accessible par l’API.

In service

  • Land-register index

Always fetched from the register. 0.99 CAD excluding Registre fees for the call, plus the register’s own 1.50 CAD.

  • Deed PDF

Registration number and circonscription. 0.99 CAD excluding Registre fees. The register fee is added only when that call consults the register. No prior index call is required.

  • Cadastral plan

Lot number and, when needed, the cadastre. Plans come from the land register. 0.99 CAD excluding Registre fees, plus the register fee only when that call consults it.

  • Grouped lots

Several lots in one submission. Each accepted index is its own call: 0.99 CAD excluding Registre fees, plus 1.50 CAD at the register.

  • Lot watch

A scheduled index check for one lot, on your organisation’s register account. A notice can be sent to an HTTPS URL you provide.

  • Register account

API documentation

Questions fréquentes

Réponses courtes.

Is there an API for the Quebec land registry?
Yes. Fonciq API v1 serves keys, the property index, the deed PDF, and the cadastral plan. Calls run on the Registre foncier accounts your organisation stores. The HTTP server is the documentation host, not a path on fonciq.ca.
What does a call cost?
Every document call is 0.99 CAD excluding Registre fees. An index is always fetched from the register, which adds its own 1.50 CAD. A deed or plan Fonciq already holds stays 0.99 CAD excluding Registre fees, with no register fee.
Does a deed call need an index first?
No. A deed takes the registration number and the circonscription. A plan takes the lot number and, when needed, the cadastre.
Are RDPRM, REQ, SLRI, structured parsing, and the 21 datasets in the API?
Structured deed reading is not available yet.
